Employee Focus: Helen Mickle


Our Employee Focus for the second quarter of 2019 is on Helen Mickle. Helen joined the Van Mark team in 2004 and just celebrated her 15-year anniversary this past March. As a Customer Service employee, Helen spends much of her time assisting customers and end users with product questions and placing orders.  With over 40 years of customer service experience behind her, Helen has a proven track record of always taking care of the customer’s needs with a positive outcome.  Helen told us “I thrive on customer satisfaction.  Anytime a customer shows appreciation I feel rewarded and proud of the accomplishment”.

Helen describes Van Mark as “family oriented”.   Her goal in the next five years is that she will be either retired or preparing to retire.  During her free time Helen enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and dog sitting her “grand dog”, a Great Dane named Titan!  Lately, however, Helen’s time is sparse as she spends a lot of her free time helping her elderly mother with her daily needs, so that she can continue to live independently for as long as possible. 

Helen grew up in Berkley, where her mother still resides today.  Currently, she lives in the New Hudson area with her partner, Rick and their cat, Shelton.  This has been her home for the last 28 years. Whenever time allows, Helen also enjoys dining out with her significant other and spending time with her daughter attending festivals and shopping.
