Employee Focus: Frank Delorey
For the last quarter of 2019, our Employee Focus is on Frank Delorey. Frank joined the Van Mark team as a Production Associate in February of 2002. He will be celebrating 18 years with the company in 2020. Frank tells us that he loves his work schedule because it allows him to have his evenings and weekends to himself. When we asked Frank to describe Van Mark he stated, “Quality of life”. Frank said, “it’s been different at Van Mark, not being required to work over-time” and he appreciates that it’s allowed him to spend more time with his family.
Frank takes a lot of pride in his work. “I’ve been told I have mad Hinge skills”, Frank shared. He tells us that this is not an easy position but, he feels he’s mastered it over the years. Frank is looking forward to retirement in the next couple of years. After retirement, he plans to work part-time, do some updates to his home, and eventually put it up for sale so that he can relocate away from “city life”.
Originally born in Mexico, Frank and his family moved to California in the early 60’s. The family moved a few times over the years, going between Michigan and California but, eventually ended up in Redford, Michigan when he was 12 - 13 years old. Frank still resides in the Redford area with his wife and youngest son. Frank also has two older son’s and nine grandchildren!
