Employee Focus: Noah Schertzer
For the third quarter of 2019 our Employee Focus is on Noah Schertzer. Noah became a Van Mark team member in October of 2018 when he was hired in as a Production Associate shortly after graduating high school. Noah was asked to describe Van Mark in a few words and the description he provided was “tight-knit community”. Being a small, family owned company, we think Noah’s description is spot-on.
One of Noah’s responsibilities in the Production department is building coil dispensers and coil cradles. Each one of these tools is etched with his initials once he’s finished building it. Noah tells us that he takes extreme pride in building a quality product for our end users and is proud to etch his initials into each tool. In addition, he enjoys being part of team that works well together and, when he receives a large order, he knows he will complete the task in a timely manner and still provide excellent quality.
Noah also shared with us that he’s hoping to attend a trade school in the next few years. Skilled trades are a much-needed resource in Michigan, and in very high demand, so we’re happy to hear of Noah’s plan.
When Noah isn’t at work, he enjoys cooking and socializing with friends. Cooking leads to one of Noah’s most favorite things to do, which is eating! He also enjoys tinkering with his truck and has hopes to get it on the road very soon. Noah lives in Goodrich and enjoys taking care of his chickens, and recently added 6 goats to the growing brood.
