Employee Focus: Brett Hutchison

For the first quarter of 2019 our Employee Focus is on Brett Hutchison.  Brett came to work for Van Mark in May of 2017 as a seasonal Production employee, working just during the summers, while he attended college.  After working the last two summers, Brett recently transitioned to a part-time employee, working a few days a week while he goes to school.  Brett enjoys working with his hands which makes working at Van Mark a great fit for him.

When asked to describe Van Mark in a few words, Brett’s reply was: Hard working team!  We concur!  We do have a great group of hard-working folks here at Van Mark.  Brett shared with us that he is very proud of his work and particularly proud to have been part of the production team that has broken production records in the last year.

Brett is currently working on his Mechanical Engineering degree and is hoping that once he completes his degree, he’ll be able to utilize his education by joining one of the “Big 3” in an automotive related engineering position.  We never like to lose a great employee, but we do support our employees who want to better themselves through continued education.

When Brett isn’t busy with work or school, he enjoys playing his guitar, photography and reading.  Brett also likes to spend time with family, taking walks, people watching and trying out new restaurants.  Brett grew up in Southfield and Farmington.  Brett recently moved out of the college dorms to save money and currently resides in Southfield with his Mom and a cat named Louie.
