Employee Focus: Joe Pawlow
For March we will be focusing on one of Van Mark’s long-term
employees, Joe Pawlow. Joe has been an
employee of Van Mark since 1986.
Originally hired in as a Production employee, within a few years, Joe’s
abilities and knowledge had developed to the point that he was promoted to a
maintenance position. Joe mastered this
position and shortly thereafter, also became involved in Research & Development
of new and existing products. Through
the years Joe has acquired the knowledge and skills that have positioned him as
an integral part of Van Mark’s R&D team.
Joe shared with us that he hopes in the future to make R&D his
primary focus.
When asked what Joe likes best about working at Van Mark, he
commented that he loves having a steady schedule that doesn’t require working
weekends or over-time. In addition, Joe
enjoys the positive work environment at Van Mark. Joe also tells us that he is proud of his
part in developing and introducing new products. Joe has had a hand in building most of the
prototypes of developing products that have been introduced to our customer
base since 1994.
When Joe isn’t at work you’ll typically find him riding or
working on his motorcycle. Joe, along
with some good friends, enjoys doing charity rides in and around the Detroit
area. He also owns a couple of vintage
automobiles which he takes pleasure in restoring and modifying as well as
cruising around town on occasion. Joe
also enjoys camping, traveling, and live concerts. Joe grew up in Redford and has remained a
resident there since.
